What a check gives you

Every finding is marked by priority, so you know where to push first: Worth fighting Negotiable Standard. You can also ask a short question about any finding (3 questions a month on the Free plan).
What it looks for
The check reads the whole contract from your side, as the contractor or as the client. Common findings for freelancers:
- Payment terms that are long, tied to vague "acceptance", or have no late fee.
- Rights to the work that pass to the client before you are paid, or reach your own tools and templates.
- Revisions with no limit, or "until the client is satisfied".
- Termination at any time with no kill fee or payment for work done.
- Liability with no cap and broad indemnities.
- Non-compete and non-solicitation clauses that limit your other work.
- Vague scope, one-sided changes to the terms, automatic renewal.

Check against your own terms
Save your standard terms once: deposit, payment days, revision rounds and the clauses you always want. Every check then shows which of them the contract meets, breaks or leaves out.
How it works
- Choose your side. You are doing the work, or you are hiring someone. Every clause is judged from that side.
- Upload the contract. PDF or DOCX. Scanned PDFs up to 20 pages are read from their page images.
- Read the report. Copy the fixes you want, send the client message, ask about any finding.
What happens to your file
- The file is encrypted in your browser before upload and deleted after the check.
- Email addresses, phone numbers, IBANs and card numbers we recognise are replaced with placeholders before the text reaches the AI (scans excepted).
- Your history keeps the findings and short quotes, not the contract. Delete any check, or your whole account, yourself.

Which files can I upload?
PDF and DOCX. A scanned PDF without a text layer is read from its page images, up to 20 pages.
Can I use it when I am the client?
Yes. Choose that you are hiring someone, and every clause is judged from the client side.
In which languages is the report?
The explanations come in the interface language you choose: English, Russian, German, Spanish or French. Suggested wording and the client message are in the language of the contract, so you can paste them straight in.
Does a person read my contract?
